provides you with a venue for high-impact communication about our place on planet Earth. We believe pervasive rethinking is needed to minimize the disastrous consequences of global change resulting from the industrial way of life, and want to stimulate you to express your values in video format. You could clarify the problem, document efforts to change, portray alternative values, or just get creative.

Who can enter?

This is primarily aimed at Earthlings, but anyone can enter.

What length film should I make?

We want to screen as many as possible: Make the shortest film that gets your point across effectively.
Between 10 seconds and 20 minutes should do it.

What equipment should I use?

Whatever you can get your hands on. HandyCams are available through Cornell's Mann Library.
Cell phone videos are not out of the question.

When?

Screening will be during the week of Earth Day, April 22, 2008. Submit your films for prescreening ASAP.
Commitments to screen will be made on a rolling basis.

Does it have to be any good?

Yes, but criteria are wide open. Films will be peer-reviewed, and suggestions for editing made available.
Sources for guidance will be forthcoming.

Do I need to register in advance?

Yes. The sooner the better. We will provide prodding during the creative process, if desired.
